Who am I? 15
Who am I? 15
When I left Kyoto, I said to a plum tree in my garden.
“Remember to come out,
when eastern wind begins to blow,
though I am not here.”
After I was exiled to Kyushu,
I had no chance to go back to Kyoto
and died deep in grief.
In early spring many students come to meet me.
They put their wishes on the board of my shrine,
hoping that they will succeed.
